Yeah, could have ended a lot worse. Lucky the trailer didn't have a swivel hitch which I think stopped it from flipping over.

what an awesome jeep mate you have put a lot of blood, sweat and tears into it.
I had a 460 in my XD many years ago, kept it n the c6 i couldn't part with but sold it to a close mate 6 month ago for his f truck, but then he sold the truck and now my cousin has the BB for his XB cant wait to see it running again.

Yours sounded great on the the beach recovering the 80, best sounding motor.

The drive belt you have on yours how did you go about fitting that as they are v belts normally.

Thanks mate!

Can't beat a big block, the torque is awesome. Barely have to rev it to get it moving. What was done to your 460?

The serpentine setup is the factory EFI 460 setup, I just modified it to take an EL 6 cylinder power steering pump and an ED V8 alternator.

Wow, more then a year since an update!

Well, the jeep has gone through some serious changes since that time!!

Started off with a new diff, Dana 60, 35 Spline, ARB Airlocker, 4.11 gears

Then I lost 2nd gear in the C6, so I decided to go with an NP205 swap and rebuilt the C6, new front and rear tailshafts and a matching 4.11 passenger drop front diff. Upgraded rear units to 1350 with heavy duty yokes.

I then got a Fitech fuel injection system

I then got it lifted again, got new front leafs and the tears reset with Rancho 9000s

For a laugh, took the Jeep to willow bank and ran a pretty consistent 13.6 at 99odd MPH.

Mot much changed on the inside, stuck with the JB Fab twin stick and just changed the cables and brackets to suit the 205, installed a new auto shifter, trans temp gauge and compressor and airlocker switches.

Finished all up around September last year, so I’ve really gotten into enjoying this thing lately, plenty of beach, cruises, Go Topless Day, Lakeside 1/8 mile drags and heaps of other stuff!
