just been playing with a well used scan guage II. scrolling through the readouts and noticed it won't give a reading for fuel rail pressure or throttle position sensor, just the heading and a blank, no reading. do others with scanguage II get a readout for FRP and TPS.
thanks jbee, apparently not all vehicles get all the standard readouts. programmed in the HP readout and was interested to get 170hp at a bit over 3 grand. pretty gutsy. havea bit of a problem around 2 grand though where it comes on boost. must be an egr problem i think. 170 hp is about 130kw by my reckoning. much lower than the 3800 chrysler quote. must be a pretty flat power curve. the flat torque curve just starts dropping off as you hit the max power curve. good performance .
interesting i have oticed like others that once the temp guage reaches normal the ccanguage gives a range of temp between 73 and 89 deg. C with no movement in the temp guage needle. interesting. scan tool has it's uses.
robbo i had a look through and there are instructions for vehicle specific codes, but not for jeep. seems auto trans codes are there for some makes but not jeep, and it's not a standard readout. unless someone can find some jeep specific entry codes somewhere i don't think it can be done. haven't been able to find any on their website either.
