Unhappy Axle drama

Well my baby ('07 Unlimited Rubicon) has just turned 2 and my brother who is using it at the moment has managed to tear the trailing arm mounting bracket off the axle housing on the left hand side (decent effort). It's going into a local 4WD center in South Gippsland tomorrow for the damage assessment. I'm in the NT with work and haven't seen any photo's yet, hopefully they will be able to weld it otherwise I guess I'll start looking for a new axle anyone know of a good supplier in Vic?

I haven't seen it yet but form the description I've been given it wasn't the welds. Apparently the steel around the bracket has started to tear off the axle housing??? Can't wait to see it

X2 Flexy, try get it under warranty, they are meant to be four wheel drives and driven as such....unless you are running massive tyres/lift it should be covered.

Default Update

Well I still haven't seen it but my brother tells me the bracket has been welded on and is good as new. The front drive-shaft was warped slightly and is hopefully getting re-aligned next week, If all goes well about $500, If I need a new Front drive-shaft about $750 will post pics when I get them in 4 weeks
