Got the lift kit all done. What a mission tryin to line everything up! All done now though just gotta bleed the brakes and get a wheel alignment. So happy with the outcome got 4 inches in the rear and three nd half in the front from wat lift was already in it.

Took the starter out a couple of days ago & yes I did it without removing the engine mount this time.
The over run clutch was slipping bad.
Decided to have a go at fixing it.
Once in pieces it was clear all that was wrong was the grease had gone hard.
Cleaned it out & re-greased it.
Had to tack weld the cover back in place.
Starts no problems now.
Thanks MM for your tech info on the starter !!!
The owed favor tally is getting high for you given all the help you have provided!!!

Made it some new/spare, jack/axle stand, base plates, for up & coming jobs.

Then I made Junior a play pit ..

....... and then had to level it off a bit to make it ... XJ friendly terrain ..

Then coz of all their fraternising & fornicating misbehaving .... I went and got 'em hitched ....

... just a little farmfab job that got bigger than ben-hur ..

Not sure what Junior is going to grow up, to be yet .. ....

.... Has got a lot of plastic ... and wobbly front wheels/steering ... and a dodgy battery ...

So I'm guessing he'll be a JK ....

seat are easy, carpet the whole bottom trim needs to come out and the console, would be easier with 2 people to get the carpert over the hand break and air bag module (under the console). took me about 1.5 hrs to remove everything.

i got over it and used a stanly knife as i wasnt reusing the carpet anyway.
