Yep. they stick out about 25mm. i have bushwacker flat flares on the way from the states to fix the problem. they also hit the back of the front flares when turning so once the trimming for the flares is done it should be all good. it is still drivable the way it is though.

I discovered a groaning noise from the steering when turning left and right. It was louder when stationary, and took me back to the time my steering box bolts snapped. It was subsequently repaired by Chrysler under their recall, but the panel repair shop were a bunch of monkeys and seemed to have eaten many of the bolts that were originally in the area. So I've never been excited about the quality of the repair.

Well, this time it turns out the bolts weren't tight enough. I backed off the three bolts to the steering box, and then re-torqued them to spec and the noise is gone. Worth checking if you have a pre-update.

1.Paid the rego.
2.Pulled out my power steering pump and searching for a replacement. The old pump was leaking fluid faster than I could top it up and now I know what the noise and squeeling was comming from.

Looked at it in the garage thinking "you look way to clean, I must cover you in mud this weekend", with all this rain it shouldn't be hard to find somewhere...

Put in new Crankshaft Position Sensor! Was an OK job with the few guides that I read and the help I got from blokes on here. Cheers! Selection of extensions, a narrow uni joint essential and small hands and wrists an advantage.

Also fixed stuck tailgate. Pulled trim off from inside and found the clips had come off the threaded rod that pulls the latch. Stuck a rubber grommet and R-clip onto it so if the crappy clips come loose again it should still open.

Bought a hitch pin lock for the rear bar and also bought a milford cargo barrier that will be fitted on the 5th may. OooO can't bloody wait . Will be inspecting the work my mechanic is doing.

Ripped out the aircon compresssor and put in a dorman bypass pulley (although the holes are all kinds of messed up on the yank tanks obviously so we had to mod the bracket to line up properly), and after about 10 mins of driving my check engine light is coming on so ill have to check the codes tomorrow
Also some goodies arrived in the fedex truck this morning
