So searching the facebook market and gumtree there is a local guy selling a dana 44 diff from a ZJ, so I am just wondering if the internals will suit? or are ratios etc completely different, I tried searching but I think it makes me more confused!
Highly doubt it.
Pretty sure the ZJ is an aluminium housing.
I know certain years of Ford Explorer carriers fit.
Do some googling.
I'm assuming that the locker you want to put in is a lunchbox?
Where are you located?
What ever you get , is going to have to be set up again.
Its not plug and play.
So its going to cost $400 -$600 for the install.
Hardest thing is finding a place worthy of doing it

OK cheers, I was hoping the internals were all the same, but not so much.

Yes was looking at the lokka brand made in SA, lunchbox style, as they are relatively cheap and can be done at home.

Located on sunshine Coast, so will look for a reputable jeep specialist, I'm sure to find a couple between here, Brisbane or on the gold coast.

Talk to Dave at All American wheeling or Todd at Seven slot offroad.
These guys deal with Jeeps every day.
You would be able to do lunchbox at home if you had an open diff.
AAW may have a stock carrier that they have removed
Good luck
