I've got the Sunyee knock offs, about 8-9 months. The performance of mine is on par with stock, certainly no improvement. Don't use an anti-flicker harness because I haven't really noticed the flicker.

Buying the knock offs is basically about upgrading the look without paying for improved performance as far as i'm concerned.

Interesting, which gen did you have? No halo, small halo, large halo? What was wrong with the high beams?

So:
Globes can be purchased for around half local price.
Osram night breaker, +110 eBay <$40 locally
Phillips Extreme Vision +130 ~$46 from UK or $69 locally
JW Speaker knock-off worked well for some but are not really much different to stock in performance? ~$350 locally.
Narva TruckLites are ~$800 a pair for local with parkers. Anywhere else that has them in the local version?
JW Speaker Evo 2 (they now have a J series as well but not for us...) at $1100.

And we can forget about LED H4 globes, as the beam pattern sucks and even the 'good' ones can fail within 12 months. LED connection or emitter failure, not a fan failure. That's why the +80 globes went back in.

I had the latest ones with the large halo, high beams would stay on for 10 minutes or so after turning them off and slowly dim. They were also LHD when they were supposed to be RHD so I had to practically point them at the ground as I was blinding oncoming traffic.

Oh and they fogged up like a bitch too.

Trucklights are twice the price, but (from what I've seen so far on my brothers jeep) worth the extra $$

I had the high beam problem as well, when using some cheap anti-flicker harness I found on ebay or facebook. With the Truck lite harness it still isn't instantaneous, but takes about 2 seconds to dim gradually. The LHD was a bit of a bitch as well to get ok. But yeah, when I get extra cash, these will be upgraded. Till then I think I'm relatively happy with them considering I paid less than $300 (walked into their shop with cash in hand).

I like the trucklites - I can head up your way at night at some point so you can see what they are like, etc
