I enjoyed my 488 combo...I think you find 456 well efficient though.

love my 456's and 33's but if you are ever going to aim for 35's 488's would be the go. Don't wanna work on em twice. Also depends on auto or man and 5 or 6 speed (for man).

so, just recapping, for a 4sp auto, 4.56's would be the go? what differences would i expect from this ratio?

better performance off the line? better than stock? and i thought stock was ok off the line.
the kickdown is driving me insane on EVERY hill

Me likes my 4.88's and 32's - would I have gone lower if they made em? maybe ....

In retrospect I may have opted for 4.56's with the 32's - but it sure tows like a mad donkey and puts a big bloody smile on my face when I drive past a yota going uphill towing my 16' caravan... BwhAhAHAahaa *cough* ok evil laugh got me
