guys if you want your hoses to stop splitting just rip out the OEM hoses and spend a little to pipe it back up the way performance cars with aftermarket forced of induction do. Stainless steel pipe and silicon hose to join the pipes.
It may cost you a couple of hundred but it will more then likely last 15yrs and even then if a join goes it will only cost you $15 to fix and not a couple of hundred every now and then.
The only hose you will ever buy that will last a very very very long time is silicon hose and its like $15 an inch, rubber hose just can't take the heat and our climate, rubber perishes so quickly over here.

I agree mate. I think quite a few of us CRD folk out there have thought this through a few times, just never got around to it.

Maybe its the dealer Blue. I had some probs with broken air con vents and emailed DC Corporate because the dealer wanted to charge me $85 each. Corporate stepped in and said they'd be no charge. I got an email back almost immediately.

When you write to them push the Brand Loyalty thing and tell them you bought a Jeep because of the Benz tie up - I'm bloody sure you wouldn't have the same problems if you'd bought a Merc...

Mind you, Leo Muller Greenslopes still owe me the $180 for the vents....must ring them tomorrow and chase that up.

Its a real bugger I know. You should do the Coffs run, there'll be heaps of Qlders who'll tow you home if necessary (even I'm thinking about going)....

Sorry to here all the problems you are having. It seems like every state you get the run around from jeep. Have you thought about taking it further, like consumer affairs?? TV???? that might help you with some answers. I'm still getting the runaround with both our cars (TJ & KJ), but I wont be giving up and will keep on annoying jeep until I get the things fixed, i didn't pay $50k for a shitbox????
