Talking cleaning boost control sensor

Hi fellow JK owners, after reading thread

http://www.ausjeepoffroad.com/forum/...ad.php?t=67074

and thinking it was for my JK for some reason i proceeded to clean the part called the Boost Control Sensor. It was a 5min job after finding where the part was as the other instructions on the above thread were for a KJ.

while standing on front of jeep, if possible

located place of sensor and use product such as cleaner on right

remove electrical connection first where yellow circle is, then finally remove hex bolt using 5mm alan key. Then wiggle sensor and remove. Spray with cleaner, mentioned above, till all black gunk has disappeared then reinstall. Piece of cake.

Figured that normally you have to get out to air down or up so whats the hassle with twirling a knob a few turns while waiting. It's that simple
Ditto great investment.so simple- love mine

Well I did the Mirror rotate to give me more vision, I drilled the holes in my mirror's and allowed water to drain, replaced the 60/55W headlight bulbs with 130/90 bulbs Got new Fedral Couragia M/T 265/70/17 tyres fitted today and actually took it out and put it in 4wd. Loving it so far,

Oh Bullbar arrived yesterday but is in the shed for now.

Sounds like a few good mods!

Sorry to pick at you, but i'm sure someone else will comment also. Based on what you've said... Have you upgraded your wiring to the headlights? I believe running that wattage will melt your wiring pretty quick!! There's a good reason they only run the lower wattage globes. Wiring loom is like dental floss...

Best to spend your dollars on some quality globes. Brain block!! but there is a thread with discussion on globes available with a much brighter light output but the same wattage...

Oh, it is something I have done with my past two vehicles without incident. I did see the plus style bulbs. Might have to use search and look at the wiring issue. Thanks for the headsup.

No probs. have seen it happen. Some can cope, depends on the factory loom.
