thanks cwcchap so based on those figures and adding for tank, plumbing, struts etc for the Quadra-lift that's getting close to 100kg (ish) off my payload & close to my GVM

Fully agree ...... the payload of 622kg is taken up quickly.

My position is 622-245(tow ball weight)-69(full tank diesel)-84(accessories) = 224kg then you need to load in yourself, passengers and luggage.

Very tight.

ok the information booklet states GVM =2949kg
frt axle rating=1452kg
rear axle =1678kg which totals 3130kg that's 181kg over the GVM? how is that? so I've now totalled all my accessories/van ballweight /everything and I'm overweight & not in the car yet?

The axle ratings are just that, ratings. It is the maximum you can apply to that axle. Usually you would have more weight on the rear axle than the front - especially with high ball weights.

You cannot legally exceed the GVM. I don't know the legality of the axle ratings, but if your insurance company can work out you exceeded either of them, they will void your insurance.

The first time I put my first loaded GC over a weighbridge it was 300 kg over weight. I put it on a diet...

Cheers

that's the issue, I've been over 2x weigh bridges now, both readings are nearly the same, but I'm just 100kg shy of the GVM (that's WITHOUT the van or missus) in calculating the various added accessories JEEP & aftermarket) + van ball weight + gear + us the Jeep is good for its GVM
but NOT over the weigh station? which is about the 181kg discrepancy when you add up the axle load ratings?
F.I.I.K.
