Default Spark plugs

Hey guys, whats the interval for changing the plugs on the 3.6?

My service book and mechanic say its the 47,000 service they are due to be changed, but ive just noticed it doesnt list the 3.6 motor. I do have a 2012/13 crossover model so thats where jeep probably didnt print the correct book for the vehicle.

Ive just tore half the motor down and ordered new plugs, so i guess i may as well change em now.

I have read its more like 96,000 miles. But if your official service book says 47,000 kms, then thats what you need to follow. I highly doubt that though

For the 3.6 the service and warranty book states 108000km to change the plugs. From memory the 3.8 should be changed at 48000km.

my 3.8 service book says plugs and ignition cables at 96,000 miles (160,000 km) or 96 months or interestingly 99,000 miles (165,000 km) if you are on the more frequent schedule B service schedule...

Thought is seemed sus.

So after a more thorough seach on google, i found the australian service and warranty handbook which also stated 108,000km/55months for plugs. life of plugs on champion website is 96,000.

I pulled one plug and it looks fine, yet to check gap. Although my car has roughly 55months, i think i will check them all and leave them if found okay, seeing as i now have all the inlet manifold off and accessible.

Well if you are taking them out to check already, just put new plugs in. That way you will be done for another long period.

Too late haha. Its pretty easy to do, just a lot of crap to disconnect and unbolt. I forgot to put the foam crap under the manifold, and i couldnt resist not putting it back. I also learnt that the throttle body electrical plug seal doesnt like oils as it has swelled and is now effed.

Im putting some fox shocks this week so cash is short.
