Default jscan- best obd adapter

I have jscan app on my iphone which i purchased.
I have a vgate pro obd bluetooth adapter and it all connects up but i only seem to be able to get limited access to the car modules.
Is this because of the obd adapter or something else ?
Is there a “best” obd adapter for give me full functionality with jscan?

What model Grand do you have @genpk, I forget, if its a w2018 or later then Stellantis have put added security and you will need a gizmo to work around it .....

Adding your vehicle details to the signature makes it easier for replies.

I use AlfaOBD with a cheapy dongle which is many years old, which surprisingly reads everything so far but not much help with a J Scan, Jeepers6 plays with one so he may chime in soon....................

Depending on the module as you may not have it fitted as some models and management units/software are year dependent......

OBDLink MX+ is often see as one of the best. I was fortunate enough to buy SouthernComfort's and it's been great.
