oh yea and I had to replace the thermostat housing as well because it was running too cold

I can help you with the AC regas if your not too far away, have all the gas recovery and refilling balancing gear , bare in mind once you remove hoses you want to do it right away any exposed AC system you should replace the dryer filter at the same time, and put in new compressor oil.

You should be able to get a new compressor for about $180-250 , ones from china are typically just as good even if they are a bit cheaper, 90% of they claim is made somewhere else is usually made in china and just assembled some other place.

I got a reasonable deal on the ecu from Troubles Wrecking in sunshine 03 93123344 and I would recommend giving them a try on anything, they did the work to locate the parts i needed with matching firmware version and it arrived with in a week with the skif and key fob so I was quite satisfied even the price was reasonable.

Being only new to owning a Jeep but i'm experienced in automotive industry im only just starting to find out how hard it is to locate Jeep p.arts at a reasonable price its pretty crazy.

I guess shopping around on ebay and calling a few wreckers is usually the best way, arm yourself with as much info on the parts as you can find and you will always get a better deal if you can find the same part listed on some other brand of car.

I need a DRBIII .

Thanks for the offer baalsjeep but I think I may be a bit far away, living in ACT. Would have taken you up on the offer otherwise.

I might be getting some parts from cmohr in case mine are full of metal from when the compressor died, though I think it was in the drive side of the compressor, not actually in the high pressure end.

My plan for the hoses until I can get it re-gassed was to try and seal them up with something like a water balloon to stop crud getting in, but it was pretty much my plan to get it re-gassed straight away.

So today I pulled out the RHS o2 sensor from behind the cat and gave it a clean. Hoping that does the trick to stop the recurring P0430 code. What a pain that was with the pug being hidden right up above the exhaust behind the trans. Came up looking pretty clean, so hopefully it's good for a few kms yet.

See how you go, in my 2004 V6, a had them all replaced , and then back to them again, to have a down stream one replaced again, they said, it was working correctly, but that there was a fault in the ECU.

So after cleaning my o2 sensor I'm now getting a P0157 code so it looks like the sensor is dead, it seems to be plugge dback in right. I'll be pulling it apart again tonight and checking the condition of the pins to make sure it's ok. I can see how the wire may have broken as the loom is very stiff and you have to twist it with the sensor to remove it. I'll go over it and look for an obvious break and try to test the plug if I can get the multimeter in.
