Default Diesel Engine Revs Up
When slowing down at city speeds the revs will drop to around 1,400rpm and then it will rev up to 1,700rpm before slowing down again. Car actually speeds up a bit with the rev increase. Brake on or off makes no difference, Auto or Sports mode the same. Will mention it to the dealer but it seems like a programming thing to me because it always does it the same way in the described situation.

Anyone else?

Yep mine does the same, it acts as if you were double clutching. I presumed it was to enable smoother downshifts. Having said that im sure it wasnt doing it for the first 1000km.

It makes me wonder about extra break ware as you need to apply slightly more brake to pull up.

Yeh, brake wear is on my mind too. The diesel auto around town is pretty ordinary but in contrast is great on the open road, car just goes
