Thanks Hymer,
Your petition & hard yards must have worked on JA. Just received a letter offering to upgrade my crappy camera and advised me to book in with my local dealer before 31st August. Rang dealer Thursday and typically, they know nothing!! Will get back to me.

I've recently bought a Nov 13 build MY14 Laredo with the crappy cam (much worse than the 2012 WK2 I traded in) from a used vehicle wholesaler.

Has anyone tried requesting the cam upgrade from a dealer not having bought the vehicle there? Was going to try John Hughes in Perth as I always had my previous WK2 serviced by them.

Hope someone can offer some advice? Do I need to contact FCA first?

Cheers

I have a 2013 build MY14 Laredo, the dealer in Sydney fitted an aftermarket camera which was passable in good light, when I heard about the retro fit I contacted JCA to see if my vehicle would be considered for the update and was told a letter will be in the mail. 3 weeks later, no letter contacted JCA again and they told me to see my dealer. The car is now located in Brisbane and Westpoint Moorooka were very helpful and fitted the updated camera kit under the replaceent scheme without a gripe. I thought the new kit would not have guidance lines but I had a fault with the radio and due to the lack of parts (5 months) Westpoint removed a radio from a later build vehicle and installed into mine which rectified the radio fault but the upside I have the dynamic guidance lines. Sometimes you just get lucky. However Westpoint Moorooka Brisbane do have good service attitudes in my experience.

My Story is the Same as This one Word for Word, I Mentioned the Camera Could Be Better at my 20k Service I Now Have guidelines as Well. Only difference is My Service Dealer is in Mt Barker S.A. Maybe it Has something to Do with Bad attitude to Dealers......Bob
