Biggest prob with staun is when the operator doesn't trust them or cant leave them alone.
I had this problem initially as it was unnerving sitting back & watching your tyres deflate with no input or control yourself.
Stick em on & stand back until the shut off. If you fiddle you'll F*** it up.
Cheers
David

also out of curiosity..
do the little stems often get stuck with your stauns.. Ive tried everything but they are always sticking still?
which is the main reason why I have to keep messing with them.

I only have a problem if I take the off to check pressure before they cut out. If the tyre pressure is to close to the set pressure they wont auto start. If you then lift the valve they will often deflate past said set pressure.
Having said that I reckon they would be susceptable to sticking if full of sand or dust.
I keep mine in the console & not in the tool box.

that might be the problem there then.. as now Im so paranoid about the bloody things dropping my presures too low.. I tend to check them even before the click off just to make sure they arent too low..
I clean them in a bath of wd40.. is this what the cool kids do.. or is it a no no?

H.G. - If your having problems with them call in and see them, their manufactured in Nerang (yes still made in Australia). They will calibrated them on site. If you want the there address PM me as it is not advertised at all (so people don't bug them constantly and so that 4x4 shops get the sales).

As a side note, the early versions (alloy) were crappy and did not maintain there settings, most people have not have provlems with the newer brass versions.

I find that sometimes they just wont start deflating. I will take it to another tyre and it still wont start deflating. And this might happen to two of them at a time. So I end up deflating with only 2 Stauns. I keep them very clean. Very irritating. Anyone else having this problem?
