Default Window regulator

Have any of you replaced a power window regulator in a 98-01 XJ? I've searched to find a thread but I can't seem to find one (cue the dudes that find it in 10 seconds ...). I need to replace my driver's door (your passenger door in Oz) regulator, and am wondering if it's as straight forward as it looks.

Done mine in my "98. Very straight forward. Tape the bottom of the glass to the rubber to stop it falling.

There is a vid around that shows a repair using 2 split pins (you call them cotter pins) wrapped around the spiral. I did mine about 2 years ago and its been good ever since. Easy to do.
