Default Exhaust manifolds for 4.0

Mine is cracked. Looking on ebay I see american sellers with a newer design manifold that has accordion pipes for the outer cylinders. Is it worth getting one?

Hurricane Headers $455 + $35. Performance increase too

Got me new headers for the V8 and needed new bolts. Old bolts dont fit, why, not sure. Overall very happy with them.

You beat me to it. Hurricane headers. Had them on for years. I have a 2.5" straight through exhaust. Nice and loud with a great sound. There a 6 into 1 with really long primary runners (great of making torque) collecting to a 2.5" collector. From memory I think the hurricanes are made in here too.

Not sure I care much about any extra performance, last time I fitted performance headers to one of my vehicles half the stuff under the bonnet got fried. Plus I'd like to keep using the rest of the stock exhaust and it would be handy if the price of the header didn't exceed the value of the car

...but I'll look into them. No cracking issues? I have to have a catalytic converter and the oxy sensors all present and correct too.

Import a set of headers from the states for an old ZG ???

10 yrs ago when I had a ZG I just went into Muffler Men and got a set of headers put on to replace the cracked junk on it, they lasted for a long time, can't remember the brand but a wellknown aussie one, no major rebuild to exhaust or problem with o2 or cat and no dearer than any other set, took a morning, let them do it as exhausts can be such a pain.
