If you tow alot, and you havent done so, lower your diff ratio to 4.56 or 4.88 at the minimum or even 5.13 with over sized tyres. Will cost around $2.5k but is cheeper then supercharging with out any of the problems. If it dosent work for you you havent out layed to much cash, so sell it on and get the v8 grand(5.7 hemi of corse)

Yea I've thought about ratios and that would give me a bit better torque but doesn't solve the exhaust temps.

bigger intercooler will increase power and solve exhaust temp issues, next would be a new or modified turbo making it more efficient air flow lowering exhaust temps. If you push a small turbo hard it moves out of its efficiency range and just generates heat not power.
Intercooler would be 1200-1500 turbo about the same and would transform the performance of the asmatic vm. Alot cheaper than super/turbo petrol options. The V8 grand is great for comfort but make the 3.8 JK look good at the fuel pump.

Diesels are all about "suck squeeze bang blow" easier air can get in and exhaust can get out the cooler it will run.

Oh man this is awesome. Hows the rest of the drive train gonna go with the additional power though? I'd love to do this on the 3.6, seems to go completely bonkers with a SC.

A WH would be nice with the bigger engine but independent front limits the size lift without spending a fortune.
I'd think that you would at least need long arms, adjustable track bar and 3-4" to run 33" on a WJ and may suffer DW whereas 33" isn't a problem on a JK. I have 35" on 2.5" lifted JK and no other cutting or arms, steering, trackbar replacement needed. It certainly is a cheaper option to off road with a JK and better on road with a Grand.

I recently installed an Edelbrock blower on my girl's 14 JK 3.6L auto.
We had to dyno in 4wd to keep the auto happy. Stock was 108kw.
Tuned with an airbox it made 122kw. With the blower bolted up and tuned it now makes 178kw @ 4 wheels.
Has totally transformed the way it drives, power up everywhere, lots more torque, wants to rev like crazy and the auto shifts great. WINNER!
