Question Brake Booster HEADACHE!

as usual luckily its not my headache ol mate changed the brake booster in the green 98 sport for another he got online its from a 95 ? now the brake pedal is closer to the floor and the brake lights stay on I was reading you can adjust the switch but it seems to be about 20 mill out ? can you use a pre update 95 booster on a 98 are they the same its coming off again tomorrow will check the rod lengths and part number I would of thought they would be the same?

Had the same problem fitting a '98 booster to a '00. '95 is too short for a '98 and '98 is too short for a '00. Its not easy.

While I'm on the subject, '98 brake discs don't fit a '00 either.

I heard this morning the rod on the 95 booster is 26mm shorter than the 98 booster ...................

Do you need just the booster or the master as well ?

thanks for the offer but I don't know? he is on to a 98 booster at this rate your 97 might be different to a 98 booster who knows I will keep everyone informed
