Default Best place to mount a cb radio

Hey peeps. I bought a gme cb radio and before I start drilling into my dash im wondering if people hand imagesnof where they have mounted theirs. Ive go a few places in mind but dont want to fit it somewhere to find out itll be a pain in the arse.

Its about half the size length and height as a single din. Was thinking above the glove box or in the tray above the stereo.

I cut down a large angle bracket - it is secured by the 2 factory screws on the side of the dash speaker cover.
CB is attached to the bracket and sits above the dash.

If you run with half doors or tube doors, it can cop a bit of crap on the trail - I have covered it with a plastic bag when it looks wet/muddy..

The bracket already had a couple of holes in it, so I drilled them larger and added a few more

Ah yeah. So no holes in the dash. Just down the side where no one will see

I mounted the standard mounting bracket on the top side of the radio and simply zip tied it to the center roll bar right behind my head. The cables run perfectly under the roll bar padding.
