Default Welding things to my Wrangler

Hi guys,

Does anyone have the low down on what I should disconnect prior to welding on a 2012 CRD Wrangler?
Is there anything else other than the battery?
Is there a secret to disconnecting the battery to ensure all things power up again?
I love my working electrics and wish for them to stay that way.
Thanks Yt2...

A good precaution to disconnect battery. Have the earth close to what you are welding so current doesn't arc through electronics. Don't let anything get too hot, weld a little and let it cool. Don't weld on the chassis flange or within 20 mm or so of it. Just plug it back in after. Shouldn't need to do anything special. Can't remember if I lost radio presets. Might lose procal type adjustments but I am not too sure, I am sure someone else will know.

Only thing I lost was the non original RB2 radio reverts back to asking for a pin (all my procal settings stayed). Had to do some welding to a new front tow bar I was fabricating up and had it clamped to the front ARB bar to get it all lined up. Disconnect the positive battery lead and let sit for ten min then weld away. As mentioned above you want your earth clamp as close to what you are welding as possible and not on a different part of the vehicle.
