I don't know much about the 3.6 but some general engine-y type stuff that comes to mind

Have you done a compression test; dry, wet.....cold, hot.
Have you put a vac gauge on it to see if that shows anything (I'm old school, don't even know if that will work on a 3.6 but a suggestion just the same)
Have you checked fuel pressure at he pump and at the rail.
Checked fuel regulator
Swap injectors, put #6 in #2 and #2 in #6. See if error moves with injector
Swap plugs, as above. See if error moves with plug
Does 3.6 have plug leads or coil-on-plug, either way move that as well. see if error moves with it
