KJ 2.8 auto- rpm at 100kph?

So I’ve done the maths.

4.10 diffs on kj1 (110kw Diesel engine)
3.73 for kj2

Using those figures...

1945rpm at 100kph for me and my tyres with 4.10
1770rpm for 3.73

Both numbers are in 5th with the .67 gear ratio.


So my last question is, is the 3.73 change part of going to traction control and open diffs in the newer models? Or do they still have lsd?

For seeing what rpm and speed you will get with different gear ratios, transmissions, tyre sizes etc chck out the grimmjeeper gear calc...

Looking at the 05 parts lists diffs were available with or without trac-loc LSD. In 06-07 parts lists only an open diff is shown. Two available gear ratios are shown in the later parts lists, 3.55 and 3.73. The parts list doesn't give any indication what transmissions those ratios might have been used with.

3.55 is apparently the 6 speed manual petrol.
4.10 is early crd, 3.73 the later- automatic anyway. Not sure what manual diesels had.
4.10 is also the 2.4 petrol.
I don’t know, but suspect 3.73 is also for auto v6’s.
