Anyone removed the Trail Hawk bonnet decal?
About to pull the trigger on a Trail Hawk purchase.
However I'm not sure if I like the bonnet decal.
My wife carps on about how she hates it every time we have gone to the Jeep dealer, and while I initially thought it looked cool the wife's comments are swaying my opinion now.
Has anyone here had one removed?
The dealer says they can remove it no problem with no damage to the bonnet paintwork, but it would be good to get confirmation from someone who has actually had it done.

Have you driven one with and one without in bright sun? The decal is for absorbing the sunshine (less reflective area). As for removal, its simply a stick on piece.

Its just sticknon vinyl so removed early and by the dealer will be no issues. Remove it yourself later on and there may be issues of slight paint fade or small scratches. So if yiu want it gone get the dealer to do it.
Personally I love it.

I love it too, but removing it isn't an uncommon request. The dealer I bought mine from voluntarily offered to remove it before delivery. As has been said, the sooner the better because vinyl tends to harden over time with sun exposure and would tend to break into little pieces rather than peel off neatly.

We had wanted to remove it at delivery, but the dealer said try for a week. If you don't like it, we'll remove it free of charge. We never went back. It just grew on us. Something different from other SUVs.

Removing decals is easy. Leave the car out in full sun to heat it up and with a hair dryer applying more heat slowly pull it off. It's new so it should pull off in one piece.
Once off, don't forget to polish and protect the paint underneath as it won't have any protection on the clearcoat.
I owned my own detailing bussiness and have done it heaps of times.
