So this is Death wobble?

So I was driving home today and there is a pot hole that I usually avoid. Its on 100 km/hr bitumen. I have hit it before and wobbles and carries on, no buggy.

Well I went off road on the weekend and the rear UCA bushes got destroyed. Still drives OK, slight pull to the left and abit squeeky. Living with it til my ORA flex joint replacements show up next week.

Anyway I hit it today day dreaming and my god! The whole car was swinging side to side like an unbalanced trailer but at a very fast frequency.

I've never had to slow down before after hitting it but had no choice at it actually got worse as I tried to ride it out.

Now I know my jeep is old but is the major contributor to this the stuffed rear UCA bushes? It was never this bad but in saying that the bushes have never been this bad either.

I know its usually associated with front worn steering and suspension components but this had to of been a factor considering the knowledge I have of the bush condition?

When i had death wobble my steering wheel became a blur, if the car is just wandering all over the place it would most likely be just the rear control arms like you said, could also be the ball joint, range rovers do the same thing with a stuffed ball joint in the rear and they have a similar setup.

I haven't experienced the dreaded DW. When I first got my WG Laredo with about a 2 in lift, the front track rod bushes were stuffed, all the lower shock bushes, rear upper control arm bush bushes and ball joint, the lower arm bushes on the rear are a bit ordinary. I need to correct the big neg camber on the front axle too.
I have replaced all the above except the rear lower control arms which are not far off.
Even with all these bushes worn the worst was the way the vehicle tracked left to right as differing road surfaces/cambers etc and was a bit of a handful to keep in a straight line. It has improved immensely and I hope once I do the rear lower arms everything will settle to how it should handle. The front axle will have to wait for a little longer though
