Default Blowing smoke after long idle

Hi, Has anyone had this problem, when I idle for about 5 or more minutes of a morning while hooking Caravan up etc. then as I take off blows a lot of smoke, it appears to be a mixture of black & white. after a few minutes it clears up, until then looks terrible.
i have flushed the Engine with FTC Concentrate using new oil then refilling with new oil again as recomended. I am also using a Decarboniser & am on my 3rd tank of adding it to the fuel.
When I take off under normal conditions, e.g. no prolonged idle it's fine.
Tried it the other day after a long idle & it's still does it.
Any ideas out there, maybe the PCV valve or something ?
It's a 2009 Grand Cherokee Laredo 3 litre CRD. 198000 K's

Thanks, Mike

My 2010 JGC diesel was doing similar things a few weeks ago.Harder to start white blue smoke from exhaust.Ran two bottles of Penrite injector cleaner in consecutive full tanks of fuel .Now no more problems.Initially thought glow plug module.

Ok, bjm, won't hurt to try some injector cleaner in it, tho I dont have any trouble starting at all, just smoke after 5 minutes, If I get away before that it's fine. Not sure about the Glow Plugs, got no fault codes & no trouble starting.

I would change all 6 glow plugs as well as they are meant to work until the engine warms up not just at start up.

Thanks for that Clarky, didn't know the Glow Plugs worked like that, thought they came on just to start, then went off. It starts easy even down in south east NSW, freezin cold, looks like I'll be getting new Glow Plugs. I wonder why it doesn't do it if I start up & go straight away ?

If you’re not running a catch can (and if not, fit a catch can), check your intercooler and pipes for oil build up to make sure oil not getting sucked through intake from turbo. At 198,000km’s should be checked. Also do your normal checks around head gasket - no oil in radiator, no milky water in oil ect… If your Jeep only does mainly short runs I’d be giving it a good trip on the highway. Longer runs and higher revs are great for CRD’s. Good advice on injector clean because black smoke likely an abundance of fuel being burnt.
