Default Diesel XJ's - How many of us have 'cooked' it?

Ok,

I've read one too many posts on here about diesel XJ's 'cr@pping' themselves for no apparent reason. I now want to start a thread and see just how many of us there are.....

So, if any other users of the forum who drive a diesel XJ have overheated their engine to the point of no return, for no apparent reason, drop in here - think of it as a petition of sorts lol - just wanna see how many of us exist.

I'm one poor sod - cmon fess up!

So far 5 goodun's and 2 lemons - Murray, I've put you down as a goodun - we can't blame the motor if the water pump failed!

Good idea, perhaps you should get all those who've never had problems with their XJ Diesels to say so as well, so we get rough percentage.

So far (touch wood), mine has been fine. Has done 174,000k and seems to be scooting along quite well.
