There are rumours .....of a possible alternative 2014 event. Perhaps they can surface now that MJOC has apparently publically confirmed they are hosting a Jambo in 2015 (Easter - yeah won't Michael B be pleased).
If you are referring to the event I think you are, it is NOT an alternative to the Jambo or Coffs, but a simply a new annual event for the Jeep Calendar.
Looks like MJOC could be holding the 2014 national Jeep jamboree at lardner Park Warrugal - with a different more informal format than 2010 - was discussed at club meeting last night - and could be a goer - anyone keen....discuss

Can't find the thread but someone said today Melb are not going to run the Jambo. Where does that leave us then? Kinda would have been nice to know that six months ago so another venue could be organised. I am still willing to be on the committee for a Tassie Jambo. Although I won't be able to do any running around until my transport issue is solved which could be another 5-6months. I am happy to make calls if that's any help. I could probably meet up with Launceston locals after hours if need be to help arrange stuff.
