Default White Van speaker scam!

A word of warning for anyone who hasn't heard about or know about the white van speaker/home theater scam.

They are about the streets of Melbourne selling cheap sh*t speakers/home theater systems again.

I got approached the other day on Princes hwy/Warrigal rd Oakleigh. The 2 guys were in a white hyundai hire van rego YTG 243 (Europcar sticker on the back window).

They didn't like it when they got told to fu*k off LOL.

Hang on a sec , are they just selling crap for cheap , or are they actually cons selling empty boxes ? Can you elaborate on what they were selling a bit and how much .

Btw I have personally seen them in brisbane , but refused to purchase anything.
Are they selling faulty stuff or something

They operate this in Brisbane every few months. Only scam is that your buying shit goods for a price which sounds good but isn't. They import a container load of crap and then hire 2 goons to drive around in a hired van and offload them. When I've come across it in the past the gear isn't stolen, but just imported low quality shit home theatre systems. A quick google on the product shows that your not getting a bargain and no warranty to boot!

Usually target shopping centre carparks.

Default White Van speaker scam!

I was hit up by this scheme in Baulkham Hills a couple of years ago. They were asking around $500, I told them, and showed them, $150 and I'll take it off your hands!! I never have cash on me, but I knew I had a couple of deposits (I'm a sales rep). They said no way, too little. I said see ya mate
