Default WJ infinity hifi speaker swap, have one rear need one front

Hi

I just fixed (finally) my car's infinity hifi system (Jeep 2002 WJ). Replaced the Amp and had to replace the rear speakers since one of them was not working.

Same happened to the front. So one is working and one is not. Since i replaced the rear already I wonder if someone has a spare front or want to swap with the working (or both if you are keen) rear speaker.

Otherwise I have to go again and get me another pair of front speakers.

Please let me know.

Thanks
Joerg

Good work Joerg, have a look on eBay, I’m fairly certain I saw a listing for individual speakers a couple of weeks ago.

Thanks Doug.

I saw some but mostly from US and they are 150 - 200 Dollar upwards including shipping. I might consider to get then just a local replacement.

I did not switch back to the original amp but got the one I bought running. I had to rewire a couple of things (easier than expected) but now it is ok. The sound is also ok, as far as I'm concerned. I am not a hifi expert though.

I might consider to get some cheaper speaker and then swap them back once I find the right deal. Or I put the working rear to the front for now...

Thanks
Joerg

Yeah I had to re-wire both front doors. However one of the front speaker is definitely gone since I attached it directly to the amp.
I have attached the rear speaker which still works to the new wires for now. Not ideal but it does the trick. replacing it with a genuine speaker (once I have one) will not take longer than 10 Min.

I looked up Ebay as Doug mentioned. The closest I could find is an OEM Speaker in Victoria for 60 Dollar. The question is how good they are. As far as I know the original Infinity are from Harman which are usually higher end speakers.

Someone from UK sells a single used for 60 Dollar as well but had no info on the sending cost. So I am awaiting his reply. I am going to meet some of my co-worker from London and I might ask them to bring it along.
