The Redarc unit is totally concealed under dash, all that's visible on the dash is a tiny button enabling you to flick from auto to manual setting and vv (mine is on auto, I never touch it). So it's hard to take any pics other than of the button. Some other brands are mounted around the knee area and protrude annoyingly, easy to knock. Have a look at Redarc's website, you'll get a good idea of how they mount and operate.

Yeah I had a look through the manual, it looks like a good unit. Was just wondering where you mounted it. Do you know where they tapped in to the electrics? I'll probably get someone to do the install for me.

The auto sparky I used is VG so I left the connections up to him. The button is mounted on the dash just below and left of the main light switch.

Went to see the trailer manufacturer before I place an order and he put me on to this Bluetooth brake controller requiring nothing to be installed in the tow vehicle:

https://www.elecbrakes.com/

Looks like a great option since I will have two tow vehicles, I won't have to install anything in either vehicle.

Bluetooth is good in theory, but as a wireless connection I believe they can be a bit unreliable. I haven't used a BT brake controller but have heard of cases of inconsistent 'signal' in some circumstances, therefore performance may become intermittent. Personally I prefer a hard wired connection for something as important as braking. Just my opinion!

Works for me.

Mine is a generic one, not a name brand.

I use one of these too and find it quite good except for glare/reflections off the face of the screen, so I have to angle it downwards a bit, not perfect but ok. It's better than a separate monitor stuck to windshield or dash. I was told there weren't any compatible with the Uconnect screen, but in any cas I'm not sure I'd want that taken over by the rear view camera.
