Default Old Man Emu 1.5 lift kit on WG

i am looking at the old man emu 1.5 inch lift for my 2.7 CRD WG, and got a couple of queries,
1. Does this kit need any other mods, or it just a case of swapping out the shocks & springs?
2. Will it be ok to tow a large trailer with this lift?
Thanks

It won't require any other mods other than installing your springs/shocks. Also got for the new OME shocks, the ones with the black shield, they're better than the originals IMO.

You can do an adjustable track bar but strictly speaking, this isn't 100% required.

I'd be inclined to replace the spring isolators while you're there, it will give you more lift in the process. Don't be surprised if you introduce death wobble once the new springs are in. If the suspension bushes are old you're likely to see some problems that you'll need to address.

When you replace the springs, make sure you loosen the trailing/leading arm bolts beforehand, then tighten them back up once the new springs are in. This should help minimise issues with bushes.

BTW, you'll have no problems towing.

I did a 40mm Kings/Bilstein lift over Christmas. No problems. I didn't do an adjustable track bar.

Change the spring isolators and loosen/retighten the pivot bolts as per above. Sound advice. Heed it. My 40mm lift became more like 60mm with the new isolators. The NVH improvement was astounding.

Really, wow, even a small 1.5" lift can lead to death wobble?

Unfortunately yes. It will depend on the mileage and other factors such as how worn tie-rod ends are etc.

Better to be forwarned IMO.

By the same token, if the suspension is in good condition to start with, DW is unlikely with a small lift. Usually the underlying cause isn't the lift itself, but that the lift highlights other problems.
