Default Kiddy seats for off roading

I'll keep it pretty sweet and short. Poor little dude got pretty owned by a tameish powerlines run. He's got bruises and bumps everywhere from the spare crummy seat in my car. Any one know of a decent seat that keeps little kids about 25kg or 3yo pretty stable and not knock them around to much?

What baby seat do you already have for him? I'd suggest a Safe & Sound Meridian, I have these for my twin boys (3yrs old tomorrow) and they have good head protection, just make sure the harness is fitted correctly.

Then remember that he's still a baby and crawl very slow & safe, no stupid shite. Their muscles aren't developed enough to restrain themselves from impact on tame or un-tame runs.

Kids & seats !!

I was talking to a NSW park ranger recently on a Sunday morning. He was out with his misses & a young child, probably about 3. In their Honda CRV. The child was sitting on his lap holding the steering wheel. No kids seat in the car. This was on a rough track in a park.
& they have the task of enforcing safety rules in the parks !!

And here I am worried about my kid whos strapped in probably a little too much worried about bruising definatly a first world problem he he

Fat Chilli yeah bud not sure of the make its just one of those baby seats that start out backwards when they are tiny and reverses around to face the front when they get bigger. It doesn't have any real padding around his sides or legs which is where he got a bit owened. Thanks for the help so far keep the sugestions coming in.

I know I survived riding on mum's lap in the front for years, before I was big enough to sit by myself. Then I graduated to sitting in the centre back seat wit hjust a lap belt, (because I had the best view out the front that way! )

Copy that. Anyone over about 40 probably spend their fair share of pre-seatbelt time sliding about on flat vinyl bench seats.

But for my kids (6&2) we have the S&S seats, both with good padding. Sorry no idea on the model. but they both have removable layers so as kid grows you remove some.
Also I am a believer in keeping them in the 5 point harness as long as possible - which should be based on how long they fit the harness. But you need to ensure once they are too big for the correct harness that you stop using it (an incorrectly adjusted harness can actually do damage like compressing spines).
