Default 2011 Grand Cherokee Overland Ordered

Hey all!

I feel compelled to share my excitement. Finally bit the bullet and ordered my first Jeep.

Got the 2011 Grand Cherokee Overland with Diesel engine and towbar kit.

My first preference was Dark Charcoal but I'd have to wait until December or possibly next year but there was 1 Inferno Red unallocated right now... I just hope it looks better in the flesh than in some pics online.

Dealer said that I can reject it if I wasn't happy with the colour so I figure its a no brainer decision.

Just hope all my anti-jeep friends are wrong about this...

Don't worry about the anti Jeep friends - there are anti Prado and anti Pathfinder and anti Pajero etc etc etc friends too!

I didn't think the diesel was available yet?

Official release for the CRD is August. The dealer is getting their demonstrator hopefully later this week or early next week.

Love the pentastar engine but given that I'll do 35,000 to 40,000 km per year then the diesel makes alot of sense... and even more so if those reviews on the CRD engine are trustworthy.

I just drove the new diesel...it is excellent. Very quiet, heaps of grunt and good economy.

I'm now keen to see if my local dealer has an oil burner to try!

I understand your exitement I placed an order for the diesel back in feb. I had more info from the net than the local dealers and mercedes dealers told me more than jeep dealers could. I have been waiting very patiently and found out last week the car is on the docks at melbourne should be at the dealership early july .I have the Laredo in dark charcoal with the quadra lift
