Having sold my Jeep, time has come to get rid of the custom plates.
They are QLD custom plates with the ‘4x4 – Do It In The Dirt’ checker plate background. They are standard size and includes 1 accessory plate for bike carriers etc.
The licence number is: 01GPR i.e. Number 1 Jeeper.
Background: The name ‘Jeep’ originated from the vehicles during the World War called ‘General Purpose Vehicles’. Amongst soldiers, this was shortened to the initials ‘G,P’ and eventually was blended into the pronunciation ‘Jeep’. Hence, most people ask me why I chose GPR instead of JPR. First reason: Someone had already taken JPR. Second reason: GPR pronounced ‘Jeeper’ maintains more of the relevant history.
There are some minor rust marks on both around the bolt holes where they have been held with washers, but overall in a good condition.
