Each to their own I guess.
The Anti flicker harness is basically a large electrolytic cap between earth and +ve on the headlight cables.
There are theoretical disadvantages...the capacitor can induce a delay in headlight switching, if it fails it will fail short and your headlight fuses will blow at a minimum until the anti flicker harness is removed..
I can make my own harness modification for about $10 with parts from JayCar.
I prefer the idea of doing it the "official" way and telling the TIPM to output a steady 12V rather than a PWM signal.
Plus I've got enough cables and adapter in the engine bay with all the accessories, I don't need any more if I can avoid it haha
Software arrived and loads fine. My OBD scanners are cheap clones and don't work properly with all the required commands. (they are fine using torque, and DTC clearing software), so waiting on a genuine ELM327 adapter before I carry on
