Yessir! Trailing arms are made that way for clearance and fine.
Didnt hit any rocks, its let go from the torque load. Was climbing a rock face, and it went up fine with very little noise, made the way up the rest of the hill, coming down the other side could feel something wrong, got back to the group and hey presto!
Tried jacking the centre down against the body, couldnt budge it (and broke the jack!) Even tried dumping into reverse and loading up in reverse and it moved a little, but couldnt re-spin the centre.
I have HD custom tailshafts and lots of grip through the nittos, but I didnt expect this to let go! Happened at about 2000rpm in 1st gear low, all slow speed, no jumping.
Now i need to try and see if that roller hemi wh limited is still for sale......
