Wow, still looks like a fair bit of angle on it. I was fascinated by it when I saw it before in person. I'm gonna need a lot of pointers mate when I end up going the same road one day. All I need is to afford the new model for wifey .

Do you know what the angle was before and what is it now?

P.S. My fuel tank bash plate looks in similar condition to yours .

Yep, she's a basket case. Broke all the welds holding the axle tubes onto the centre climbing Telecom hill at landcruiser park. Used to line up parallel to driveshaft.

Limped it back to town in low range with rear shaft removed.

So are you saying you've actually twisted the centre around the tubes??? Did you come down on a rock with the nose of the centre.. Were the trailing arms straight before.

Yessir! Trailing arms are made that way for clearance and fine.

Didnt hit any rocks, its let go from the torque load. Was climbing a rock face, and it went up fine with very little noise, made the way up the rest of the hill, coming down the other side could feel something wrong, got back to the group and hey presto!

Tried jacking the centre down against the body, couldnt budge it (and broke the jack!) Even tried dumping into reverse and loading up in reverse and it moved a little, but couldnt re-spin the centre.

I have HD custom tailshafts and lots of grip through the nittos, but I didnt expect this to let go! Happened at about 2000rpm in 1st gear low, all slow speed, no jumping.

Now i need to try and see if that roller hemi wh limited is still for sale......
