Default Last stupid question, limp mode when I go around corners?

If I take a corner to quickly the jeep goes into limp mode. Literally the only thing I haven't replaced is the fuel filter, could it be that ? My injector one sensor is bridged with a capacitor and it runs fine until I've been in 5th for a bit before throwing limp mode.or if I take a corner quickly. Cheers in advance

You probably have a later model Cherokee than we deal with here, up till 2001

Good idea to specify year and other details in any forum post

I would check and clean the body earths first, there will be at least a couple in or around the engine bay.

No information about your jeep showing, like what year & your location.
You dont give the details about what sort of limp it goes into.
The question is not stupid, lack of information is a pain!

Cheers for the replies, sorry for the lack of information.

It's a 1998 jeep Cherokee VM 2.5

The limp mode happening is the lack of power past 2k revs. It'll keep going past 2k but it's slow and feels like there is no boost there.

I have taken it for a couple straps where I've driven it hard and it stays on boost and powering fine until I let it fall down in revs and it goes back into limp mode. Not sure if the capacitor is actually doing anything but I can drive to the shops and back with zero dramas. I took some corners quickly today while in high revs and it didn't go into limp mode. Wondering if oil pressure can cause limp mode now as it does drop when it warms up on the highway.

Id bother to fix the injector one sensor but I'm really not keen on paying 700$ for a new one as mines beyond repair.

Cheers in advance

Probably best to replace no 1 injector first . Capacitor does nothing . BCM expects a pulse signal from injector 1 . If no signal than it just reduces fuel delivery to protect the engine .
You can get no. 1 injectors sometimes second hand for $100-$200 .Google up some Jeep wreckers
