Power cuts when off roading.
Just asking for a friend, when he gos hard up say a sand dune his Jeep dramatically cuts power to a point of nearly stalling?? 2015 diesel. , any suggestions? He thinks it may be related to the electronic wind boost throttle controller?

You mentioned on facebook it maybe low range and possibly high range. Can you confirm which one? How fast were you going climbing the dune. Does the car actually stall or you feel the throttle is cutting out preventing you from accelerating any further.
I'm sure you know, but Low range is limit to 40k if I recall, it is on mine anyway on the earlier model.

Is traction/stability control turned off? Depending on th vehicle, if it’s left on it can ruin you in soft sand.

Yeah electronic throttle controllers can do that.
The "off road" mode or economy mode settings on the I drive I have will send it to limp mode and sometimes splutter and stall. Settings that worked with stock tyres don't work with 33's so I'd imagine dropping the pressure and hitting sand dunes would be the same.
Try the enhanced throttle or off modes or just pull it off.

Sand mode dials down the traction control, but even hitting the TC button to turn it off doesn't fully disengage it. It still won't let you do donuts....

Is there a way to full disengage TC?
On my 2012, i struggled climbing up one dune and it was only on the 6th attempt and longer runway on hi range i was able to get up at some speed. 10psi.
