A bit of an update, took the wagon to get measured up etc. yesterday. Turns out the guy hadn't done a stainless snorkel on a wj before. After a bit of a chat and a look around the engine he said it wasn't possible to do it without a custom intake box so new quote ended up being around the $1800 mark. Although a custom intake would be nice I decided not to go ahead with it.
Went home made a few phone calls to try find someone that has actually installed one to a 4.7 with no luck. Ended up going in to speak to a guy that had done my mates snokel on his patrol a couple of days ago to see what he could do.
After a look around the engine he says he'll be able to make it work with the factory box and I am booked in for Thursday. Decided we'd go down to 3.5inch pipe as 4inch was sticking past the flare of the guard and I'd hate for the snorkel to get torn out in a mud bog or something.
Because of all the bends needed the measured up quote was $660 fully welded.
Will post photos when it is complete.

That doesn't seem like a bad price, and reusing the original airbox should be pretty easy, just block the original inlet and put one out the side facing the guard.
I was thinking of having a look at the tjm snorkel off a y62 patrol and seeing if it could be made to fit, it would look quite nice but i am not sure if the pillar would be a close enough shape.

Yeah seems a decent price considering airflow and safari are around the same fitted. Im a little worried about how it'll look with the small bends required to get around the door and bonnet. I've been strugling to find a picture of a solid pipe snorkel anywhere. Only time will tell.
