I sure did Squall, it took a while but I had a very specific set of criterea when I started, first I wanted it modular so I can use whichever module I want so I can just leave the base frame in for day to day use as the wife finds it a pain in the arse when she goes shopping when the drawers are in there.
Secondly we can use one module and still leave room for our dog to fit in the back or if we go wheeling we can just use the small fridge (which we use as a freezer in touring mode) for our lunch and drinks etc.
Third we can just leave the battery/compressor module with out the drawers.
The side storage units are only used for full touring mode but like the rest can be used with out needing the drawers installed making it very configurable....
Is that as clear as mud???

Well it is 2 years down the track since I built this unit and all has worked a treat, the modular nature of this design allows us to configure the rear for what ever we want at any given time, until recently that is.
We decided to go for a weekend away to Bunya Mtns, this necessitated the carrying of several suit cases and we wanted to take the 35l Waeco with us.
No problem I thought, I can just make a shelf that bridges across the gap between the two side storage boxes, so I did just that....
Then I found that the fridge wouldn't fit under it, missed out by 9mm!!!!!!
The base is constructed from 25mm SHS, so a redesign was called for especially since we are heading to Tassie very soon.
So the base came out and was used as a template and fabbed a new base that is of the exact same design and dimensions except it is made out of 12mm SHS instead of 25mm, this will allow the whole thing to drop by 13mm.
I then made a new low profile fridge slide that can just bolt in where the passenger side drawer normally resides and this allows the fridge to clear the shelf but only just.
The other drama with using the shelf is the compressor was in the way sitting atop the battery so I made up some brackets and mounted it inside the passenger side storage box and then just wired it to the car via an anderson plug so it is still removable.
I have made the shelf out of ply to keep the weight down and used hammer in nuts to allow it all to bolt together.
Tomorrow I should have the shelf all trimmed and ready to fit along with the centre divider that keeps the cases away from the fridge, I also need to make a flat base that bolts to the frame and allows the cases a flat surface to sit on and not give them anywhere to catch when sliding them in and out....

I got some more done on this today, I made up the centre divider and the base cover for the drivers side luggage area and finished off the shelf, then I found I was short on felt so had to grab some more.
All that is left to be done now is mount a handle on the fridge slide as well as a latch to hold it in, fit the Waeco fitting kit and then work out a cable organiser to keep the lead out of the way when sliding in and out then it is all done....
