Default Not quite new owner in Brisbane

Hi all,

By way of introduction I have owned a Jeep GC Limited Diesel for just over 5 years now. The plan has always been to use it with the family to explore our great beaches up here. Anyway, recently the Jeep starting spluttering and lost power. Anyway after a tow to the Jeep dealer, they broke the bad news of needing a replacement turbo

This was quite strange as I have never had a problem before, it's always been serviced and I have always looked after the car. It also only had less than 60K klms on it.

Anyway I am now in a quandary is to whether I sell it and get something more dependable. I test drove a bunch of cars and nothing drives as well as the Jeep. Part of me thinks this could be a one off situation and will be good from now on and the other part has me concerned about needing a tow from somewhere like Fraser Island with a young family. Am I overly paranoid here?

mechanical problems occur with all brands cars/suvs not just Jeeps.!!Seems however rather low klms for a turbo to go.What did the dealer say was wrong with the turbo. I would try and find a good independent Jeep mechanic ,not a dealer.

They said the turbine was damaged and hitting the outer housing. I've already had it replaced as I had no time to shop around. Jeep came to the party with a 70% good will discount but it was still expensive.
