spark plugs
Got some new spark plugs and started on them this morning. Had to take out a bolt holding some hard lines to the alterator bracket to get to first plug. Dropped bolt into alternator, 10 minutes later got it out. Plug wire wouldn't come off, yanked it and broke the end off. Went and got new leads. Time to remove spark plug, had wrong size plug socket. Back to the shop for right size socket. Finally get plug out, needed to let out some frustration and pegged the plug, it bounced of concrete floor and smashed the brake light on the trailer. Walked away.

when I had them replaced (didn't work on my own jeep yet back then), I can still recall my shop guy's answer on my question how that first plug went: " well, that wasn't fun"...

Hi, hope its ok to revive an old thread since it seems to be similar to my problem.
Doing the spark plugs on an xj '98 for the first time.
What are you guys using to remove that first plug, the damn bracket seems to be right in the way. None of my tools will fit in there, trying to avoid removing the bracket to do it.
Thanks,
Blue
