Default WG CRD Panhard rod removal.

I watched a couple of videos and thought I could remove the panhard rod. Bolts came undone easily, removed upper bumpstop on drivers side and was horrified to see that the bolt, well that stupid arm on the head would not clear the bump stop base. I wriggled and jiggled and pryed and pushed fo 90 mins but no go.

Please help. It just seemed so stupid, I couldn't believe it.

I know this sounds a bit silly but the base for the bump stop seems lower than most I have seen. In one video a guy cuts away at his bump stop (about an inch from the point. My bump stop base is about and an inch lower than his and the bolt needs about 3mm more downward swing to pass the base and the very tip of the nut end is still in its mount hole.

I think Im gonna try bash the lip of the bump stop mount up across the width of where the bolt head has to pass.

The nut end of the bolt has a 6 mill rounded locator on it. This must be the wrong bolt. Its too long to drop out of the bolt hole on the mount and wont swing enough to go under the bump stop mount. What a fricken head ache.

And now put a new shouldered bolt, the other way around, so that if you need to remove it again, you don't have to take out the bump stop.

You wedge a Fffeenn big screwdriver in the front edge and lever it down, have a couple mid sized ones handy to stick in when it moves a bit to grab it from springing back, when it is about halfway down on one side it'll come out easy. It is a lot easier to do on a hoist than on your back.
