Just about all other automotive applications for the VM 2.5 TD used viton Orings & seals.
The TD used in the jeep left the VM factory with an engine numbers that were for industrial/marine applications. The number was supposed to be changed when it was put in the jeep in the US. Mine didnt have the number change. It caused me a little grief when I first registered it in Vic ~ another story. I suspect that all the Orings & seals in the engines are low temp rubber.
