Yeah would be worth a repair, made the decision lastnight to get a second hand engine, now to find one, have found some but wrong year , have to make sure that the reluctor wheel on the crank is the same as mine. I think mine is 16 tooth. Anyone know how to be sure, i have read i can ring the dealer with the vin and confirm
For those who come looking, 2007 4.7 engine is the same, a few little things are different like plenum is different where throttle body attachs and oil pressure sender is different , just swap them over from you existing engine.
