Hi marlin, i too had battery probs with my 05 hemi and the jeep service centre blamed me for leaving the tailgate open too long with the stereo on-which was only for about 15 min. The battery kept going flat to the point it wouldnt start the car and happened 4 times in 2 months. They had tested it and gave the new jeep battery the aok. i got sick of the blame attitude and went to a good battery joint and got the biggest low profile battery stuffed in it with a little cutting and have never had a issue since. The new jeep battery was put on a deep cycle charge in the shop and it boiled over after 10 min so it has joined the recycle pile.

Marlin, but looking at your avatar pic and realising you're in Brisbane, you must be the one that parks in Doggett St Newstead

Get yourself an Optima Yellow Top an be done with it (Jeep paying of course )

R,
Stu

I think Marlin has put the moz on me.
At 50,000 Km my battery has a dead cell, now replaced under warranty at the Ballarat dealership.

Angry Flywheel to be replaced

Hi all, I have a 2005 WH Grand Cherokee diesel that is currently undergoing a flywheel replacement under warranty by the dealership. This is the second time I have taken the car to be fixed by the dealer in 6 months of ownership. About 3 months ago I had the starter motor replaced and last week the car refused to turn over. The dealer replaced the starter motor and got the car started but found that the problem was in fact the flywheel which was worn. The car has done 130,000km which shouldn't bring up these sorts of problems at this age. I think the issue is the key barrel which when pushed all the way forward turns the car on but does not spring back to the on position like a regular cars ignition. This I fear is keeping the starter motor running while I am driving around and wearing down the flywheel. Has anyone else had a similar problem?

Hello I have WH CRD 09 with 8,000klms now on the clock at its first service I will need also a front wheel alignment as my front left wheel starting to pull to the left only other problem so far is when slowing down to stop it seems to be clunking when changing down between 3rd and 2nd sounds like coming from rear.
On the open road flat ground on cruise best I got was 9.8ltrs/100klms and when towing my van around the 16ltrs/100klms how does this stack up to other WH CRD's.
