Thanks abandit, was looking at doing that as it does not make sense for the breathes to come out and then straight down, also that is something they do when installing the LongRanger tanks.

I have put up with it for 12 months, I use BP and the problem is less and if you hold the gun upside down, but what everyone is sayin is fix it yourself and stop whinging about it as jeep dont care. Some people just cant be told!

Don’t waste your patience, time and efforts. Get the TSB done on your JK. It’s a proper fix and you’ll be able to fill at high flow pumps up to the last ltr without a click and tricks.

If the dealer refuses to get it done and you’re a bit technical, do it yourself. The TSB calls to replace the vent filter, but it’s the same part number as per JK 08 parts list. Without having to replace the vent filter, the task is just to replace 3 plastic vent tubes. They all have clip-type joints. They‘re not gonna be expensive from spare parts. Cut the cable ties, replace the tubes, put new cable ties and Bob’s your uncle...

No need to re-route the vent tubes, stick to BP pumps or play 2 o’clock tricks with the spout etc.

I read this post with interest in order to solve the problem of slow filling tank.
After insisting for two years to my official workshop “it is a problem common to the Jeep and has no solution” I showed them the TSB located in your forum. They had no idea about it. They changed the tubes, etc.. But the problem continued. This was last summer without hearing from them.

Now I have changed my dealer, they are more interested in this, have changed again the vent tubes and the tank too. But the problem remains. According to the workshop chief the problem is in the rollover valve moulded in to the tank or the fuel vent valve. He believes that has not been solved by Jeep.
Following the information gathered in this post, they changed the path of the ventilation pipes, and it seems the problem has been partly resolved, I am pending change the filler neck by one of 32mm. All in warranty.

Thanks for your forum

Greetings from Barcelona

After 2 years of being told there is no problem & then being told that CJ weren't interested in fixing it I finally got mine fixed last week . I had to ask them if there was a fix for the slow fill problem & when they said what problem ? I was a bit cranky , pointed out there was a TSB on it & they admitted there was a fix & ordered the parts . Filled up after it was done & it took 2.5 minutes to put in 81 litres where it used to take up to 24 minutes .
